Joanna Serago Novak is an experienced civil litigator and trial attorney, resolving disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She has over a decade of experience litigating disputes for pharmaceutical, medical device, and motor vehicle manufacturers. She has extensive experience at all stages of litigation, including initial fact investigation and case strategy, discovery development and depositions, dispositive and Daubert motions and other pre and post-trial aspects.
In particular, Joanna holds significant experience in litigation matters pertaining to long term care and products liability. In her long-term care practice, she has represented long term care facilities through mediation and trial. In the products liability industry, she has defended pharmaceutical manufacturers against wrongful death claims.
While pursuing her law degree, Joanna interned for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. Joanna is active in the community as a volunteer and pro bono counsel, including the representation of clients in protection from abuse matters and in name change matters through the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund Name Change Project.
